The following information is based on a preliminary, ongoing investigation that continues to evolve as detectives interview witnesses, review physical and electronic records, and analyze evidence. ROWLETT, TX – On Friday, June 13, at approximately 3:28 PM, Rowlett Police Officers responded to a shooting in a business parking lot near the 5600 block of Rowlett Road. Upon arrival, officers learned that an unknown suspect had shot a 15-year-old victim in the head during what appeared to be a planned meeting to sell items. The victim was accompanied by his brother at the time of the incident. The suspect fled westbound across Rowlett Road toward Maple Lane. Officers immediately secured the scene and provided medical aid to the victim, who was transported by the Rowlett Fire Department to a local hospital.
Through video canvassing of the area, investigators captured footage of the suspect entering a nearby store shortly before the incident occurred. The suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 17-19 years old, wearing a red hoodie, red slides, and light-colored Nike shorts.
The suspect has been identified as Xavier Sen’cer Stevenson, 17 years of age, from Rowlett, Texas. Stevenson is described as a Black male, with dark hair and dark eyes. He is approximately 5’09” tall and weighs around 130 pounds. Stevenson is wanted for Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, a first-degree felony.
