GARLAND, TX — The Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest invites nature enthusiasts to join them for a series of Wildflower Walks this May. Led by Dana Wilson, these guided strolls through the forest and prairie will showcase the vibrant spring blooms as they emerge, offering a unique opportunity to observe the changing landscape.

Event Details
Participants will meet at the Park Preserve, located at 1787 Holford, to explore the flowers of the limestone prairie, which thrive in the bright sun and warm weather. Each species has a specific blooming period, so attendees can expect to see different flowers each week.
Walk Schedule:
- Thursday, May 15: 10 – 11 a.m.
- Sunday, May 18: 2 – 3 p.m.
What to Bring
Participants are encouraged to bring water and sunscreen to stay hydrated and protected from the sun. Close-toe shoes and long pants are highly recommended to guard against thorns and poison ivy.
For Master Naturalists, these walks are approved for 1 hour of Advanced Training per month, making it a great chance to enhance your knowledge while enjoying the beauty of nature.
