Sachse, TX – The Sachse Public Library is set to offer a series of events for families and young children throughout June, providing valuable opportunities for learning and fun.
Weekly Story Times Schedule
The library will host several weekly story times aimed at different age groups:
- Baby Bounce Storytime
When: Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Audience: For non-walkers only, ages 0 to 18 months.
Overview: This session features 20 minutes of hands-on books, songs, and scarf activities, followed by 40 minutes of playtime and socialization. Each week will repeat board books, songs, and activities, changing monthly to promote familiarity and learning. - Toddler Storytime
When: Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Audience: Ages 18 months to 3 years.
Overview: Participants can enjoy 20-25 minutes of songs, rhymes, movement, and stories, followed by a themed craft for toddlers and their caregivers. - Pre-K Storytime
When: Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Audience: Ages 3 to 5 years.
Overview: This storytime includes 20-30 minutes of songs, rhymes, movement, and stories, concluding with a themed craft designed for pre-kindergarten children. - Family Storytime
When: Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Audience: All ages welcome!
Overview: Families can come together for 20 minutes of stories, songs, and felt board/scarf activities, followed by a themed craft that promotes family participation.
Upcoming Special Events
In addition to the weekly story times, the library has planned two special events for June:
- June 16: The Magic of Bubbles
An exciting and educational program focused on the fascinating phenomenon of bubbles. This event is designed for all ages and encourages curiosity and learning in a fun atmosphere. No registration is required. - June 17: Family Game Day with Reading Therapy Dog Greta
Families of all ages are invited to enjoy a variety of games while children and teens practice reading aloud to Greta, the reading therapy dog, and her owner, Ms. Karen. This event offers a unique blend of play and literacy development in a supportive environment.
Residents are invited to mark their calendars for a month of activities at the Sachse Public Library.
