GARLAND, TX — Dylan Hedrick, candidate in the runoff election for Mayor of Garland, has formally invited
opponent Deborah Morris to participate in a public debate to discuss the issues and priorities
facing the city.
“With early voting just around the corner, it’s essential that the residents of Garland have the
opportunity to hear directly from both candidates in a public forum,” said Hedrick. “A respectful
and informative debate will allow voters to compare our visions for the future of Garland and
make an informed choice.”
Hedrick has proposed that the debate be scheduled at a mutually convenient time and location,
and that it be moderated by a neutral third party to ensure a fair and productive exchange.
Several local venues are under consideration. Media outlets will be invited to cover or livestream
the event.
“I am confident that Ms. Morris shares my commitment to transparency and civic engagement,”
Hedrick added. “I hope she will join me in giving voters the opportunity to hear from us directly
before casting their ballots.”
The campaign welcomes collaboration with local civic groups, educational institutions, and
media organizations to host and promote the debate.
