Competitive Salary and Benefits

Starting salaries for firefighters in Garland are set at $77,575, with an increase to $78,717 in the first year. Job Responsibilities

Firefighters will perform a variety of essential tasks, including:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age but not older than 36 at the time of examination

Preferred qualifications include completing 30 or more college credit hours and current certification as a licensed paramedic and firefighter.
