Garland Fire Department Earns Prestigious American Heart Association Honor

Garland, TX – The Garland Fire Department has once again distinguished itself by receiving another esteemed recognition from the American Heart Association (AHA) for its exemplary emergency medical services (EMS). This honor acknowledges the department’s commitment to delivering timely and effective care to patients experiencing heart attacks and strokes, ensuring they are transported to the appropriate medical facilities without delay.

The AHA’s Mission: Lifeline EMS recognition program is designed to highlight the achievements of prehospital agencies across the nation in providing exceptional care for critical cardiac and stroke emergencies. Launched in 2014, the program emphasizes the vital role that prehospital personnel play in the healthcare system, serving as the first responders to patients in acute distress. Their swift and competent actions can significantly influence patient outcomes.

In a Facebook post, the Garland Fire Department shared:

We are proud to have the best of the best men and women providing exemplary care to our citizens and earning this honorable designation year after year!

The Mission: Lifeline recognition program not only celebrates the outstanding service of EMS providers but also fosters a collaborative approach to patient care among prehospital agencies and hospitals. The initiative is driven by the goal of transforming the quality of care by integrating all components involved in managing heart attack and stroke cases into a cohesive system.

Congratulations to the Garland Fire Department on this remarkable achievement!
