Rowlett, TX – The Veterans Resource & Outreach Center (VROC) is hosting a Free Veterans Resource Fair on Tuesday, June 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is designed to offer support and resources for veterans and their families, providing an opportunity for community members to connect and learn.
One of the highlights of this month’s fair is the on-site expert assistance for VA disability claims. Attendees will have the chance to meet with Ms. Domineck, the Assistant Director of the Dallas County Veteran Services Office, along with her team of certified VA claims writers. They will be available to offer personalized, one-on-one assistance throughout the day.
In addition to VA claims assistance, the fair will feature a variety of local nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting veterans. Attendees can expect to build connections with fellow veterans, spouses, and supporters. The event will also include complimentary lunch for all attendees and door prizes throughout the day, making it a welcoming and engaging experience for everyone involved. Veterans and their families are encouraged to come out, bring a friend, and take advantage of these resources.
The VROC, located at 4210 Industrial Street, Building 100, has been working to address the needs of veterans in the Rowlett area. In its first year, the center served over 1,500 veterans, providing essential services such as food, clothing, home and car repairs, counseling, and job assistance.
The Veterans Resource Fair is held monthly, with the next one taking place every third Thursday of the month. “We find strength through community, and our resource fairs are designed to bring veterans together and provide the support they need,” said the VROC representative.
