Garland, TX – During the City Council Work Session held today, June 16, 2025, city staff announced the implementation of CivicClerk. This new agenda-management platform was described as being designed to modernize and streamline the preparation and processing of City Council meeting agendas. This system eliminates the need for toggling between different pages and screens to access staff documents and other related attachments related to agenda items.

In addition to the CivicClerk implementation, the City of Garland has completed the installation of a state-of-the-art audio-visual suite in the Council Chambers. This upgrade includes enhanced microphones, cameras, and request-to-speak controls, along with closed-captioning functionality and improved remote participation tools. These advancements are reportedly aimed at making public meetings more accessible and user-friendly for all participants.
Residents can access these advancements in public meetings by visiting Garland, TX’s Agenda and Minutes portal.
