GARLAND, TX — Intrinsic Smokehouse & Brewery is set to host the inaugural Chubby Fest 2025 on May 24, starting at 12 p.m., celebrating their beloved Double IPA, Chubby Unicorn. This unique event promises to be a delightful experience for craft beer enthusiasts.
Cary Hodson, the owner of Intrinsic, shares his inspiration: “Chubby Unicorn was born from our quest to create the perfect Double IPA; balanced, bold, and just a little different. Brewed with Kölsch yeast and a blend of Eureka and Chinook hops, it’s always stood out. Chubby Fest is our way of celebrating that creativity with five unique variations of the beer, plus limited-edition merch like dog toys, shirts, glassware, a custom hot sauce, and even a brand-new comic book. It’s going to be a fun, unicorn-fueled party that celebrates what makes each of us unique.”
Attendees can look forward to sampling five epic variants of the iconic Chubby Unicorn:
- OG Chubby Unicorn – The original legend that started it all.
- Hazy Chubby – A modern twist featuring African Queen and Mosaic Hyperboost hops for a refreshing haze.
- Zero G Chubby – An out-of-this-world brew with Galaxy and Comet hops that takes flavor to new heights.
- Brett Chubby – A special barrel-fermented variant available exclusively in bottles, showcasing funky flavors.
- Last Born Unicorn – The session IPA, affectionately referred to as “Half Chub,” perfect for those seeking a lighter option.
The festival will also debut limited-edition merchandise, including:
