Assistant Chief Charles Rene Honored as Man of the Year

Garland, TX — Assistant Chief Charles Rene was awarded the prestigious Man of the Year accolade during the 43rd Annual Founders Day Sponsorship and Awards Luncheon, hosted by the NANBPWC, Inc., Garland Club. This recognition celebrates his over 35 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Garland.

Throughout his distinguished career, Assistant Chief Rene has led every division within the Garland Police Department and has proudly held the rank of Assistant Chief for more than two decades. His leadership and commitment to community safety have made a significant impact on the department and the community it serves.

The NANBPWC Inc., Garland Club was established in 1980 by Ruby Armstrong and Willie Joyce Blair. This dynamic organization consists of professional African-American women dedicated to community service and supporting fellow professionals. Their mission includes mentoring young adults aged 12-18, instilling leadership skills, and providing real-life opportunities to cultivate future leaders.
