Garland, TX – The Achievement Center of Texas is partnering with Clemmer Classic to host a pickleball tournament on August 2, 2025, at the Granger Recreation Center, located at 1310 W Avenue F. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and aims to raise funds to support the center’s programs for individuals with disabilities.

Participants can register for the tournament, which features various divisions, including Scramblers, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. The Scramblers division, taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., allows individuals to sign up and be assigned different playing partners. The tournament will include separate categories for Golden Girls and Silver Foxes (ages 65+) and Women’s and Men’s Scramblers (ages 21-64).
From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Doubles division will allow participants to compete alongside a partner. This will be followed by the Mixed Doubles category from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., which accommodates male-female pairings. Awards will be presented for the top three placements in each category.
For younger participants, there will be an age 15-20 round robin division, although this will only proceed if at least five participants register for both the men’s and women’s categories. Parents or guardians of participants under 18 are required to sign a printed waiver to be submitted at the tournament.
The tournament will utilize the Swish app, which players will need to download to manage their participation and track scores. Each player will receive a barcode on tournament day to facilitate smooth operations.
