Early Voting for Municipal Elections Begins Today

Garland, TX – Today marks the start of early voting for the municipal elections, providing an opportunity for residents to make their voices heard. Early voting will take place from April 22 through April 29, and the Dallas County Elections office has announced the following polling hours:

  • April 22-25 (Tue-Fri): 8 AM – 5 PM
  • April 26 (Sat): 7 AM – 7 PM
  • April 27 (Sun): 12 PM – 6 PM
  • April 28-29 (Mon-Tue): 7 AM – 7 PM

Voters in Garland can vote anywhere in Dallas County, making it easier to find a polling location that is convenient. To locate a polling site, residents can visit the Dallas County Elections website. Note, polling locations may be different than previous elections.

In the last municipal election, only 9,163 Garland voters participated, a concerningly low turnout for a city with a population exceeding 240,000. To ensure that every voter is well-informed about the candidates and issues on the ballot, voters may visit dallascountyvotes.org or vote411.org.
