The Garland 9th Street Gym Project is more than just a boxing program; it’s a community lifeline that nurtures young athletes from diverse backgrounds. The gym provides essential resources, including nutritional support, updated equipment, and travel assistance for competitions. Many of the young people who come through the gym have overcome tremendous odds to accomplish challenging goals, not only in boxing but also in life after boxing.

The event aims to raise over $60,000 to further these initiatives. Attendees will hear impactful stories from former participants who credit the gym with shaping their lives.

During the event, attendees will have the chance to contribute directly to the gym’s mission through various donation opportunities:

  • $25 – Sponsor an Athlete Meal
  • $50 – Sponsor Boxing Gloves
  • $100 – Sponsor Shorts and Jersey
  • $250 – Sponsor a Gym Tutor
  • $500 – Sponsor Gym Equipment
  • $1,000 – Sponsor Competition Travel for Boxers and Coaches

Additionally, a QR code will be available for easy donations, and silent auction items will be up for bid in the lobby, with 100% of funds going to the Garland 9th Street Gym Project nonprofit.

Generous support from sponsors like Randall Reed’s Planet Ford 635, Encore Recyclers, and the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas has been instrumental to the event’s success. The community can further support the gym’s work by attending the showcase event.
